Orca is a hand-built delay inspired by the Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay, designed around a simple three-control layout and a warm, musical echo response.

It can move from short, subtle repeats that add depth to longer, more spacious delay textures without requiring a complicated control set.

Sound

Orca is focused on straightforward, playable delay.

The Delay control sets the space between repeats, Feedback determines how many echoes return, and Mix lets the delayed signal sit anywhere from subtly behind your dry tone to much more prominently in the overall sound.

Controls

Delay — Sets the delay time, from shorter echoes to more extended repeats.

Feedback — Controls the number of repeats, from a single echo to denser regeneration.

Mix — Blends the delayed signal with the original dry signal.

Features

  • Deep Blue Delay-inspired voicing
  • Three straightforward controls: Delay, Feedback, and Mix
  • Wide range from subtle echo to longer atmospheric repeats
  • Hand-built in the Seattle area
  • Individually hand-finished original artwork
  • True bypass switching
  • Standard 9V DC center-negative power
  • Power supply not included

Enclosure / dimensions: 125B / approx. 122 × 66 × 39 mm. Hand-applied artwork and finishing may add slight variation to the final exterior dimensions.

Orca is built for players who want delay that is easy to dial in, musical in use, and capable of adding everything from subtle depth to spacious repeating textures.

Your pedals are more than just boxes; they're sonic sculptors, crafting the very essence of your sound. To keep them performing at their peak, heed these sacred commandments of pedal care:

The Tenets of Pedal Preservation

  1. Unplug the Beast: Before diving into the cleaning ritual, always disconnect your pedal from the power source. This simple act prevents electrical mishaps and ensures your safety.
  2. A Gentle Wipe: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently caress the pedal's exterior. Remove dust, grime, and the residue of countless gigs.
  3. The Forbidden Liquid: Water, the nemesis of electronics, must be banished from your cleaning routine. Avoid liquid cleaners and moisture at all costs.
  4. The Sacred Knob: When cleaning knobs, rotate them gently, ensuring no debris enters the delicate inner workings.
  5. The Jack's Domain: Utilize a specialized contact cleaner to maintain the integrity of your input and output jacks. A gentle spray and a few rotations will do the trick.
  6. The Power Supply's Purpose: A well-regulated power supply is the lifeblood of your pedalboard. Keep it clean and free from dust, ensuring optimal performance.
  7. The Periodic Purge: Regularly inspect your pedalboard for loose cables, faulty connections, and signs of wear. A well-maintained board is a happy board.
  8. The Holy Grail of Storage: When not in use, store your pedals in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations.
  9. The Forbidden Modding: Unless you're a seasoned electronics wizard, resist the urge to tinker with your pedals' internal circuitry. Leave it to the experts.
  10. The Ritual of Respect: Treat your pedals with reverence. They are the tools of your musical expression, deserving of care and attention.

By adhering to these sacred tenets, you'll ensure that your pedals continue to deliver sonic bliss for years to come.
